Now this has just surprised me. My son put in an offer on a flat overlooking the Thames in SE18 last year and was gazumped! This Spring another flat in same block came up top floor, better position/view for £3k less than the one he had previously seen. He put in an offer 6k under the asking price and was turned down. 8 weeks later agent rang him (july) and said the buyer had pulled out "made redundant" (?) Son bit iffy about the situation so didnt offer again.

Two weeks ago I saw the flat was down £4k. I just checked to see if its still on the market and it is down another £3k!

Im in a quandry over telling him about it as he liked the position very much and the price is now £12k less than in the spring but what if it continues to fall? Just thank goodness he was gazumped last year - he would now be well in negative equity.
