Looks like my friends and I missed the cheap fairs to Cape Town.
We are palnning to go around 20 feb for two weeks.
Can anyone suggest where to look for cheapest flights or whether to wait for a possible drop in price.
Tks

Cheap flights to Cape Town?
Why did no-one tell me they existed. I too would like to know what the best (cheapest) time of year to fly out to Cpt is.
Many Thanks,

Keep your eyes open for a BA Sale or special offer, sometimes flights to Cape Town are included. BA usually have a big sale in January.
Sometimes https://www.Trailfinders.com can have some good deals. Some airlines like Qatar Airways sometimes have deals.
Indirect flights on KLM and Lufthansa can sometimes go on special offer.
There are also 'Inclusive' fares available when you book a flight and hotel, the hotel booking doesn't have to be for the whole trip, it can be just a couple of nights. Try a travel agent for these fares.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
travelmood are also very good also http://www.mobissimo.com/search_airfare.php
or http://www.mercury-direct.co.uk/mercury/dest_southafrica.php for the hotel and fare option can sometimes be goodIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
Also have a look at connecting through Windhoek with Air Namibia - it may offer a cheaper option.0

KLM was the cheapest option when we went. Manchester- Amsterdam-Joburg-Cape Town.
That was in Dec too so should be cheaper in Feb.0 -
Hi,
Again - KLM were the cheapest when I booked my upcoming trip in early January (5th to 13th). The price was £495 pp, LHR - AMS - CPT. This was back in August, and annoyingly come late Sept/ Oct BA had a sale with direct flights for £499!!! Still, the flight times work out better as KLM fly during the day, so you arrive, go to bed and wake up relatively refreshed... unlike most overnight flights to SA, where you have the entire day to get through!
Other airlines to consider for February include Emirates, Qatar and Iberia (although I've heard consistent bad things re: Iberia, despite their cheap prices).
Good luck finding some flights...
