I want to reduce Sky cost - currently have package with all sports (no movies) and Sky plus for £40 per month. DH belives Sky sports as essential as air and water in life - is there anything I can do to reduce cost?
If i phone up to give notice to reduce package & they don't offer me a reduced fee I don't actually want to cancel due to hubby thinking he will die without access to sports!
I don't mind him watching the sport - just want to pay less!
We are in exactly the same situation. We just rang to see if we could get an offer by cancelling and after over 30 mins and having the phone put down on us once, we were told that there are no offers that include keeping the sports channels. So we cancelled!! We will get it back at some point though but going to have a look if there are any deals to be had for being a new customer. Does anyone know if we are breaking the terms if I take out a new package in my name, when my husband had the previous package? Thanks.*Don't let the b******s get you down*

No, just tell them you kicked your husband out !0 -
£40 a month probably includes all the mixes.. you can get that down to £36 a month i think, if you go down to 1 mix only... or.. get rid of sky sports, and the sky mixes, pay £10 a month to sky for sky+ functionality, and then £12 a month to setanta for their sports package, you still get some sports, and sky+, and only pay £24
