Maria, the thought of a smear is always worse than having one belive me. I have them every three years and don't like them but they could save your life and only take about 5 minutes.
You'll feel so much better if you have one. I think results would depend on area. I always get a letter from the health service regardless of the outcome0 -

Thanks YB,
Ive been so silly not to go as i know if there was something up its much better to catch it earlier than later. Hopefully they will send out a letter then, as if you have to phone for results i know i would be terrified of calling for them and knowing me i wouldnt. I know my mum gets letters when she has breast cancer screening.
I know ive just got to do it, and find out to put my mind at rest with worry.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
You're not being silly Maria, I have put them off before, and completely understand your fear. I promise you though as I said the thought if it is worse than actually having it done.0
