It's any of the above Amy, lol. My boyfriend & his house all call me Nich (because my name is spelt Nichola instead of Nicola). It will be a huge boost for you when you clear the CC, I semi want rid of my car as it feels like it bleeds me dry, but I really want my own house.

I realised that I used to be contracted to paying £459 every month when I was with uni, and that was without utilities, food, books, and anything car related so insurance, tax, petrol, servicing... When I was getting about £1300 in loan every 4 months I'm honestly not sure how I survived!

I'm kind of upset he left the BBC, I've always had a soft spot for him. I think he's quite funny and I'm drawn to men who look like tramps lol.

It has made me much better with my spending too Jen. I used to buy some completey useless stuff. I mean, I own 6 pairs of fairy wings... no-one needs 6 pairs of them!

  • Hi all,

To those of you that do scratchcards... I've seen people mentioning Take a Break. Are they a separate company to the ones who run the likes of Butlins/Littlewoods? Just wondering because I opened Littlewoods AND Butlins and had one account close... so not sure whether if I open a Take a Break one they'll close that too :S

Nichelette, hope you're feeling better soon! I think I've caught your cold, I woke up with a runny nose this morn but that might be 'cause of the chilli sauce I had last night

    Hi CL :),

Most of the free scratchcard sites are run by a company called Stminver, but take a break are run by someone else (can't remember who), so it's safe to open a take a break account as well. I've had a Butlins & a take a break one for quite a while and it has been fine.

My cold started with a sore throat yesterday, hopefully you will be alright, colds are horrible... I've just added the Amazon voucher code I got from dooyoo to my account and found I already had £5 in there which I'd forgotten about :D.

Ooh, I've just remembered you do global test market CL, can I ask how long it roughly takes them to send the cheque? I cashed in yesterday but I'm impatient lol.

  • Great, thanks! Will open a Take a break account in a sec - more free money :D

Nichelette, I received a cheque from Global test market last Saturday. Just checked my spreadsheet and I requested the cheque on 28th September, so it took roughly a month. They were fairly quick this time - usually it's about 6 weeks :)

Oooo might have to do Take A Break too...

Well its 2pm and I am soooooo tired. Dont know whats come over me!

I paid in the £100 from Post Office into my bank, so tmoorrow when I get paid I will be adding that to the "pay off credit card" pot! :D

AND we had a mini-snow flurry when i was out and about. :j
    Debt: just my mortgage :D
  • ^I take it you're one of those crazy people that likes snow? :p We had about 5-mins of hailstones earlier :o

Right I've found I already have an account on Take a break but can't seem to find out how to play the free scratchcard. So to be able to see it do I need to deposit £10 like with Butlins, etc?

I really have to go to the Post office today but need to wash my hair and stuff... don't think I'm gonna have time. I've hardly got anything done in the last week due to laziness.

Lol CL i only like snow if it gets me out of work! :rotfl:

Well i have just phoned the council up about my boiler/heating system. I have been there 4 years now and have had no thermostat or anything since that time, so my heating is either on full blast or not at all. And i got my gas bill for 2 1/2 months and its £150, and thats just for heating my water. Anyway, they say im on a waiting list for it to be replaced. It will be done in........

    wait for it......
