i am not sure if the what are you saving for question was aimed at me or not but i will answer it anyway!!lol
once upon a time i had £23k ish for selling my house and i lost it all so my aim is to get that money back but that is such a huge target i am aiming to fill my isa every year for the next 5 years so i can buy a house when dd is at big big school when she is 11 years old!!
i am also saving because i can!! lol :-)
Ahh okayIt's much better breaking it down into little chunks rather than looking at the big amount as it's off-putting! Seems most of us are aiming for the same thing... I'm saving for a deposit too. I have quite a bit saved already but as I'm buying on my own, I'd like about £30K deposit. I hope the house prices stay low
I've just done my one and only scratchcard... won 10p. I have £3.10 now as they transferred the £1 bonus money from my Littlewoods account to Butlins0 -
Hi all,
Im glad you've said that Amy about not being focused on getting a house as much and not rushing into it anymore. It excatly how i feel since yesterday, why am i in such a rush to buy my own house?? Yes, i still want to start a family soon but i can do that renting too. Im gonna take the pressure off and have some fun for a while spending some cash on OH and me. I will still save but not my whole wage packet like i have been doing leaving nothing for myself to enjoy.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Hi Maria
Exactly how i feel. There is no rush whatsoever at the moment. The main reason for me was to have a garden and more room for the cats (sounds stupid I know!), but they have never had a garden, so they arent missing it really.
I intend to get my DVD collection fully stocked :rotfl: I am in the process of going through play.com and updating my wish list.Debt: just my mortgage0 -
Your cats are very lucky...sounds like there very spoilt!
I need to update my clothes! And have a haircut, i havent had it done at a hairdressers since last November! Nearly a year! Mum has been cutting the back and i do the sides with a feathering razor!
Oh and i can recommend buying a 206.:)Everyone goes on how french cars are unrealiable.....my renualt clio WAS, and my OH's dads renualt and my mates renualt all had problems!!! But Peugeot's seem to go on forever no probs! Ive had no trouble with my 206 at all (touch wood). The only things ive had done are the normal wear and tear parts being replaced as in any car.
Saying that i took my car to the garage after work, i had them look at everything and they said there's nothing wrong with it. The shock is leaking a tiny bit but nothing that will effect the drive and it would pass an MOT as it is now. So i wont bother with a new set till next year.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
My cats are definitely spoilt, and they do act like brats at times lol
I love 206s, i have since i learnt to drive in one. To be fair, it will be a car I keep for a long while (hopefully).
I need a haircut too... but I dont like hairdressers :rotfl: Im a funny soul!
Just had a look on autotrader and found a 206 for £1345 near me. And it looks in good condition. Well at least I know they are out there, and i could afford one when im debt free.

I dont like going to the hairdressers either! Theres only one girl i like to cut my hair, but not sure if shes still there!
I learnt in a 206 too! They are easy little cars to drive. Thats a good price too! I plan on keeping mine until it dies! I did want a 206cc but then thought to myself when i have a baby how will get get in the back of that! So got the Gti instead!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! I nearly cried the last time i had my hair cut as she was mean to me and told me next time she would have to cut it very short?? Mean woman. lol.
