Ah wow, that's great completely lost. Spend the extra bit wisely
. That sofa was an amazing freebie Amy, we have one that's similar & I know it cost at least £1000.
I'm a bit irritated this morning as I've lost out on some temp work because I was so tired from last night I didn't pick up the phone in time. I spent three hours on the phone to my friend who has awful depression/self harm problems trying to stop him from cutting himself, so I didn't get to sleep til about 4. Ah well... the plan now is to apply for at least one job a day in the hope that I'll find something permanent. Failing that I'm going to try and find christmas temp work in a shop or something to tide me over (I'll hate it, but if I can't find a job it has to be done).

HI Nichelette xx
So sorry to hear about your friend. xx And sorry to hear you missed out on a days work. xx
Fingers crossed for you to find that perfect job.

Thanks Amy
It's a real shame about my friend, he's very clever (he did a maths & physics degree at UCL) but his mental problems are stopping him from getting a job because he has anxiety problems as well as the depression and so on. I'm going to text him in a second to check he is okay.
My new strategy is to apply for a job every day, that way eventually someone *has* to have me lol. This is today's one https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/apps/erecruitment/vacancyDetail.jsp?mode=e&id=1986 I particularly like the idea of this one because it isn't office based so I really need to make myself shine in the application, though if someone has experience of family stuff like this it will probably go to them. I'll keep my fingers crossed though. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
That does look like an interesting job. Fingers crossed for you xxxx
Well i have just paid another £170 onto my credit card. I can just about afford it, so i thought "sod it!". It wont show until Wednesday I think so wont update my signature just yet.

Thank you both. I can't stop smiling
I've been so lucky with competitions recently. I think I'll spend £20 on myself for a change!
Good luck with the job hunting, Nichelette. Sorry to hear about your friend, it must be hard for him and even harder for you to have to watch him suffering. You're a good friend being so supportive - most people wouldn't be. I was in a very similar way when I left university, it was so hard to go from being constantly under pressure and busy, to feeling so empty.
edit: that's great, Amy. Just read your sig and worked how much you've paid off since March -- and you're doing amazingly!0 -
That's really good Amy
, you've done really well to get rid of so much debt in such short time.
You should definately treat yourself to something completely lost. I'd like to say my friend will get better soon but he's been like this for the last 5 years so probably not, but I'll help him where I can. I see you're saving for a house deposit, that's what I'm going to do when I'm debt free. I used to love saving before I started uni lol.
