I would agree, Manchester is still very high risk for car theft.told by the guy that he wouldn't recommend any of the nearby car parks for a long stay as they are frequented nightly by drug addicts and prostitutes!!
If you get a late train in or out from platform 13 you quite often see lady of nights in the street below.0 -

There are several on road pay and displays around there, which I think are free on Sundays. Just drive around the side streets a bit once you get there, sorry I can't remember any street names...cooldudecol wrote: »Bringing this post up again.
It's for the whole day Sunday - is there any cheap parking (from 7am to 9pm) or any single yellows around that area?0 -
Park in these pay and display bays here on Ducie Street: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=53.47943,-2.231426&spn=0,359.995177&z=18&layer=c&cbll=53.479507,-2.231201&panoid=CuRa3QHvyIqUdUWrh6H8OQ&cbp=12,201.51,,0,10.71
It's just around the corner from the approach to the main station entrance and is free to park on a Sunday. You should have no problem bagging a space if you arrive before 7am. As always, though, check the signs on the meter as regulations can change at any time.0 -

Yes that was where I had in mind. For some reason they like to print the regulations on the meter rather than put clearly legible signs up.Park in these pay and display bays here on Ducie Street: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=53.47943,-2.231426&spn=0,359.995177&z=18&layer=c&cbll=53.479507,-2.231201&panoid=CuRa3QHvyIqUdUWrh6H8OQ&cbp=12,201.51,,0,10.71
