Need Help With Bailiffs & Council

  • Thanks for your advice - no i havent let him in - he told me on phone that I must. Thats what has got me so worried. Surely I could us pay the £20 payment I missed?

    I have looked at the bailiff site - it did help a little

    If you haven't ever let him in then he cannot force his way in (except by the peaceful entry ways George mentioned). So he cannot seize your goods if you don't let him in. He can't really do much at all other than try to intimidate you into giving him more money. Don't let him frighten you and don't let him in. Keep offering the £20 and state clearly that you cannot afford more. PM Herbie21 also as George mention (search for her on the members list) for advice, she knows bailiff rules inside out.   • Thanks so much for that letter - i will do this tomorrow - I didnt do anything after the last post as te next payment was taken as nrmal so i assumed it was all ok again but i receieved a letter this wk saying
    " as clifford grant was unable to make contact with you at home i have therefore rearranged for him to be in your area with a removal contractor in the net 2 wks t remove your goods..."

    Why would they be doing this when they are still taking the agreed £20 every month s normal??
