    Unfair.

    Unfortunately depending on the shape of your body it's hard for some people to buy clothes and sometimes you can spend a month or more looking for a suitable outfit for a special occasion.

    The fact that the shop was 60 miles away from the OP and the trousers had to be altered indicates this.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

    A bit late, but I'd have gone down there wearing the jacket and not the trousers and stood there in my pants.

    They'd have soon sorted something then
