Energylinx not paying cashback?
I have switched my gas supply through the energylinx link on moneysavingexpert through the £15 cashback offer. The switch took place on 11th May this year and despite 3 emails to them I still haven't received the cashback or even a reply to any of my 3 emails. The terms and conditions state the cashback will be received 8 weeks after the transfer has taken place and that they will contact you for bank details if you are not paying direct debit, which we are not. Anyone else had the same problem? Have used uswitch in the past and worked fine but never used energlyinx until I saw them mentioned on moneysaving. Don't know how to contact them other than by email to keep chasing it up.

I had a bit of a battle with them to get my cashback too. It eventually came, but I had to make reference to the regulators and suggest I'd inform the supplying company they're not playing ball to get it.
Persevere with the emails, they did pay out eventually but I've had another private message on exactly the same topic in relation to this so that's three people on this forum including myself who appear to have problems with them.0 -
I've e-mailed them twice now and no reply.
I switched in April and i'm still waiting for £15 for electric switch and £15 for a gas switch.
In last e-mail I informed them that if they didnt pay in 14 days I would take legal action.
Any ideas how i stand if I take them to small claims court? What can I claim as well as the £30 (2 x £15) e.g. cost of taking out action against them plus admin costs etc?
Also how can we get Martin to remove the link to these cowboys before others get conned by them.:mad:0 -
I'm up to eight emails so far (copied to Martin) and still not even the common courtesy of an acknowledgement.
I'm assuming that, as Martin (still) recommends them and gets funding for the site via click-throughs, they're not the bunch of con artists they appear to be.
But I'm having doubts.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

Wow how difficult was that to get contact details?
I found a freephone number too, but why should I bother posting it"Now to trolling as a concept. .... I'm not lacking contact details - I already have them.
What I don't have is my cashback.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Please can you PM me you name and postcode and I will chase this up with Energylinx. Thanks0

I think Premiers point was that you could email them til you are blue in the face and not get anywhere, by sending a letter recorded delivery or phoning them they have to take notice of what you are saying.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

Will do (I'll copy onto that the email I received from Energylinx when I first applied (via this site's click-through). That has a reference number.MSE_Archna wrote: »Please can you PM me you name and postcode and I will chase this up with Energylinx. Thanks
In the meantime, I click-through repeatedly so that, even if they don't pay me, they have to keep paying Martin!Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Despite MSE Archna's intervention, I heard nothing from Energylinx and, needless to say, no cashback payment either.
EDF weren't interested (despite the fact that they must have paid Energylinx as a result of me switching).
However, Energylinx made the mistake of emailing to ask me for feedback and I repeatedly used the link therein to send negative responses. Eventually, lana.baird@energylinx.co.uk contacted me by email asking what was the problem with EDF.
It took her a while but she managed to get the cashback paid after about 2 more weeks.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market.
