Hi all,
I really need to find a cheap copy of MS Word somewhere, any thoughts? I don't need the whole Office package, just Word.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers.

Was just about to suggest that - it's brilliant software for free0 -
Can you save open office to disc, to put onto another computer? My laptop isn't yet connected to the internet to download, but I want to put open office onto it.
Can I copy it across from my desktop ( and how do I do this), or is there an easier way? ThanksAll shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Download it to your desktop and copy the file to a CD or a memory stick if you have one. You can then install it on your laptop.

When you click download off the website, it then gives you the option of opening the file, or saving the installation file - usually called Setup or something similar.
If you save this file to your desktop, then that should be easily copied onto a memory device.0 -
If you've got Kids at school or have a .ac.uk email address yourself you can get a cheap copy

if you use it at work your company may be in the Home Use Program & you can get a copy for about £180 -
You can now also download a free suite from IBM Lotus with Lotus Symphony - it uses open office format and will save and open MS Files - have started using it and it is really nice to use.

Thanks so much for your quick replies.
I've got Open Office and I'm using it at the moment; however I'm concerned that the functions are limited so really what I want to know is: Is there anything you can do in MS Word that you can't do in Open Office? I need to be able to work with tables and images.
Any thoughts appreciated.
