Free mobile phone charging

I dont agree with charging at work because its a sackable offence as it is classed as "stealing" and also most buildings have to have electrical appliances safety checked... BUT I think the trains have sockets for customer use and tickets are defo overpriced so why not get a little extra!I'm an MSE SLACKER!!!! Slap my bum.

Modern phones are just appauling with battery life
Lots of modern mobiles have 3G. The phone wastes lots of battery power searching for a 3g network. If you are not a heavy user of 3G features such as video calling or internet you can turn off the 3G or restrict the phone to GSM networks.
I dont find 3G browsing is noticeably faster than GPRS anyway.
This tip roughly triples the battery life on my new Sony Ericsson. Ie about two days with 3G on to five or six days with it off.

Would strongly advise against using the sockets on the train. These are only there for the cleaners and maintenance people.
I've worked with trains for quite a few years and have come across a few people complaining that the power supply has blown there laptop or mobile phone. The sockets on trains aren't regulated like your home as they are simply transformed from the overhead line or 3rd rail.
And you wont get any compensation from the train company if it does.0 -

See the little hill and sun in the menu bar above the post window, click that, a window should pop up and then just past in the address of the image. Job done.

Thats great to know... i dont use trains often and probably wouldnt charge my phone anyway but I didnt know you wernt supposed to use them. And I suppose its common sense really that you are bound to experience power surges! My best way of saving money is by asking my mum to get everything in I need for my son so I don't have to pack it and carry it all the way... saves a fortune hehe and also lightens the load!I'm an MSE SLACKER!!!! We charge all our phones using solar panels, just little ones from a K'NEX kit my son had years ago. It takes about 4 hours if the sun is out but all day in winter.Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
