Orange Customer K850i
Just wondering if anyone can help me out with what to do here. I have the Sony Ericson K850i on an 18 month contract with Orange, im about 4 month into the contract. I keep having lots of problems with the phone, I rang once to complain and was told to do a master reset, which didnt solve anything. But now everytime I ring im on hold for like 15mins waiting for someone to answer so I always end up hanging up. I want to know if there is anyway I can get them to switch me to a different handset ? And if emailing them would get a good responce ? Or should I ring and stay on hold until they answer, even though it could take all day haha. Thanks in advance for any help.

Go to your local Orange shop and try to get them to help. They can tell you if others have similar problems.0

what problems are you having? i have a sony ericsson k850i, and i've had to do two software updates because i couldn't text anyone or make any phone calls. it's worth nipping onto the sony ericsson website and having a look...

I had a K850i with Orange last year and ended up with 3 different handsets due to software faults, I eventually got a different brand of phone. I think the K850i phone had a lot of faults and then they seemed to fix the problem and make more as I have this as my work phone and it has no problems.
I contacted Orange Executive office in the end as I was getting nowhere and they sorted it out immediately and I got a Nokia N95 (which I hated!)
The phone is under 6 month warranty anyway so I am suprised they havent just offered you another model

I entered into an orange contract (£35 per month) through Carphone Warehouse specifically because I wanted the k850i. Started contract end of June 08, after a week or two the phone started to freeze, tried updates but it still frooze from time to time. Returned within the 'magical' 28 days and they replaced with a new handset.
Within two weeks same thing so straight back to CPW who changed the phone again.
This third phone is also doing the same thing - freezing so returned today (28 day is tomorrow). They said they would only replace it if they could see the fault in store, needless to say it didn't freeze. They refused to replace it and said if I came back after the 28 day was over they would send it off for repair. They offered to keep the phone until tomorrow to see if it happens again.I'm hoping somebody can advise me -
1. I took this contract with orange for the k850i - where do i stand in relation to the contract if the phone is so problematic?
2. Can I demand that CPW replace the phone for another k850i if they don't see it freezing? I'm hardly lying!
3. I feel that my contract is with CPW for the phone but I took the orange contract through them when taking the phone - who is liable for the complete contract( mobile and orange)?
