i didnt i did have calls from them (dont know if i can mention them or not) asking how service was and giving me 2 mths at half price which by the way didnt happen and when i rang to ask why they denied the call had happened saying they had no record ,yet when i rang to cancel they were able to say look you got 2 mths half price for staying with us when i said look i pay by dd and i can show you my statment showing that you charged me full price he basiclly said sorry you have to pay untill next year ...what can i do i know they never asked me to renew a contract with them ...

Ask for proof you signed a contract till that date, it sounds like either they called in March to make an offer that was taken (if the offer didn't get taken or didn't get honoured their end then that would be one get out).
If they cannot prove your agreed to a contract extension you may want to contact the regulator.0
