Just take him for check up and don't have the booster. I certainly wouldn't let an animal who wasn't feeling well get a booster. Did he have one last year? Think about it. Do humans have boosters every year? No. It is the same with dogs now. They don't need boostering every year either. It's all because the drug companies want to make money and so do the vets. There is a lot of research about it on the internet now.0

Hi all,
Well done it at long last taken out argos platinum policy. :j
£33.36 pm with £65 excess and £7000 per year cover, includes dental cover for accidents only but thats more than some i have read...
Hope it will fully cover and pay out but hope and pray i won't ever need it. Think I have read policy at least twice but will reread small print when it comes in the mail.
Any thoughts on them as a provider?
Forgot to add that my boy is a 14 yr old (gorgeous) cat ...0 -
We took out an Argos policy in January..the few reviews I found seemed quite good and the price was really good compared to some quotes I`d got. We have a puppy.0

I have a 4 year old dog who caught a sickness bug and was really poorly for about 3 days in January this year. He is a perfectly healthy dog and hasn't had a trip to the vets since November 2008 but they are refusing to pay (£600) as according to them he has a long history of sickness and we didn't disclose that information at the time of inception!?!
We can count on one hand the amount of vets visits which required medication. how can they say he's had a 'long history'?
Has anyone had something similar and fought them and won? we just dont know if they are trying their luck or have us over a something in the small print.0 -
You need to go and check with your vet what is on your dogs history to see what exactly they have written down. If there is no previous history of sickness I would take them on.
Our insurer refused to pay for anal gland surgery as dog had routine squeezed anal glands some 3 years previous. I fought this and won an ex gratia payment! The victims we know so well

I had argos cover for my previous dog. She died after a spay, so as it was routine wasnt covered by the policy. I did however get purchase price of the dog paid out, no questions asked. they were actually the ones that told me i could claim that when i rang to cancel the policy.0 -
Has anyone had experience of pet insurance from 'Protect your bubble.com', who seem to offer competative rates for dogs?0
