a blow back is when the chemical still at the rear of the machine overheats, (mainly through poor maintenance, incorrect programming etc) this then causes the chemical solvent (the cleaning agent) to turn a putrid black and scrapes all the waste from the bottom of the tank (hair, skin cells, bodily fluids etc) and deposits them firmly into woven fibres.supermezzo wrote: »I had a similar problem with a suit jacket at the dry cleaners where they freely admitted it was their fault as one of the machines had had a 'blow-back (!)' apparently and they asked me to find a replacement and they would re-imburse me for it. The jacket was very much as you describe the dress when it came back.
if your garments ever come back a greyish shade all over or very dark on the collars cuffs, or even gives the appearance of being damp/strong chemical smell this is the reasonEvery day is a school day :T:T:T0
