Yes you can definitely pay for your shopping with a clubcard plus card and I do this regularly now instead of going to tesco - the reason being that if you shop online you can make use of the many vouchers there are around on the internet which allow you to maximise your points.

This morning I did a 65 pound shop which will have got me 130 points @2 points per £. On top of this I found a voucher code on the internet which allowed me to get an extra 750 points by inputing a code at checkout. So 880 points in total. This will pay back £35.20 in deals because they are x4. I'm using these deals to pay for my open university course which will cost £700 next year so if I can keep this rate up I will need to shop every other week and I can pay for my course in its entirety with Tesco Deals Tokens.

If anyone is reading this and would like to try to do this to, beware because you have to be sure which course you want to do - if you change your mind once your have paid with Tesco Deals Tokens you will lose all your money, whereas if you paid by cash you would get a refund. Since I'm sure of the course I want to do I am steaming ahead with this.

I have just noticed that my Tesco Credit card clubcard has different number to my regular clubcard I have opened an extra account under my girlfriends name using my regular clubcard number and managed to use 750points extra on my £50 shop thats is great cos no need to merge accounts and all codes stoped working on my old account
allready kind of merged....

I found the same - I opened an account in my husbands name different email address but same home address. They have merged the 2 accounts too without being asked

I'm a little confused from reading the posts, does the clubcard plus account still give 2 points per £1 to new applicants or only to those who applied before a certain date? Also, can it be used on fuel? Thanks x
