Boosting your Tesco Clubcard Points Discussion Area

Days after the machine was set up Tesco disabled the points facility.

I complained and got told that the machine had been 'abused' by people recycling too much....

Anyhow the machine works fine - when you recycle you can even swipe your key-fob, just to get told at the end 'nil point'.

I have only seen the green points enabled once for cans only - and this was just for a couple of weeks.

When you ask staff at the store about the facility they kind of glaze over.

Oh and a little Albanian Dude lives in the crate next to the facility and comes out every so often to clear the area of plastic bags - pleasant enough chap but I've spoken to him before about the machine and he just grins...

Also don't forget if you get £250 worth of currency for your holidays from Tesco use your Clubcard for points to be added. I think £250 is the minimum for points to be added though.

Apologies if this has already been asked.

I have a Clubcard + and I pay with it every time I shop at Tesco.
I have noticed today though that I did not receive the double points, or at least it did not appear in the receipt as it normally does.

Say I spend £30, the receipt normally says something like:

Total point for this visit: 62
This includes
Green points: 2
TPF points: 30

This time it only said Points for this visit: 30
No mention of the Tesco Personal Finance extra points

Is there a maximum number of extra points per term/year/... allowed with the Clubcard + card? Or what could be the reason I am not getting them?

Dont forget until 26th of May you can get a free eye test + 100 points for doing it;)
You do not need to buy glasses or anything!
I know it is mentioned allready but just a refresher for people who missed it...

Double points (aka TPF points) are only added to your points a few days (not sure how many) after your purchase. Next time you shop you should notice the TPF points total on the next receipt increase by 30 points. HTH.

Sorry marcouk76 just reread your post . If you spend £30 your till receipt will say

Total point for this visit: 30
This includes
Green points: 2
TPF points: previous total of bonus points

A few days later the additional 30 points will be added to your TPF points. THus making double points. IYSWIM

Thank you for your reply. Although in yesterday's receipt there was no indication whatsoever of TPF points even though I have paid with a Clubcard + card...

I have looked in the CC+ leaflet I have and it says that CC+ points are added approx. four days after you shop. Maybe you could call the CC+ helpline 0845 710 40 10 if you haven't got the points added after four days.

BTW for promotions (such as double points on petrol) you earn 2 CC+ points and 1 normal point for £1 spent.

We had a 100 extra points till spit the other day as a "thank you for being a Tesco Mobile customer"

I am probably being blind but can't see it mentioned, but its double points on all Tesco Direct purchases until Tuesday

Get a quote on Life Insurance or before 24th June 2009, then buy the policy and collect 1,000 Clubcard points (new customers only).
