I was looking at the possibility of getting two return flights to Geneva next summer for which BA say I'd need 9000 BA Air miles. But I can't see anywhere that states whether this 9000 air miles would pay for a return flight or just a one way flight?
Does anyone know?
Also the deal that Tesco are running that offers £2.50 in clubcard vouchers in exchange for 600 BA Air miles - do these figures reflect the 'free flights twice as fast' or is it actually 1200 BA Air miles you'd get in exchange for your £2.50 clubcard vouchers while they're running the promotion?
Am confusled!/QUOTE]
Now I am confused!!!!
You need 250 tesco points to get 60 airmiles.
A return flight to Geneva costs 1500 airmiles
So 2 return flights would cost 3000 miles = 12500 Tesco points.
............ or is there something I've missed.
Ruthiejane is correct, BA Miles and Airmiles are different.
If you are going to Geneva you are better not wasting your Airmiles. There are various budget airlines fly there and if booked in advance you can often fly for very little.
You need 1500 Airmiles (not BA Miles) to fly to Geneva. You can only book return flights with Airmiles as single flights are not available.0 -

I purchased three cartridges and only got 200 bonus points but queried it with customer services. They checked the shelf label which clearly said 200 points per cartridge so added 400 points to my card then and there.0 -
hi i have 2 querys -
first one is does anyone think it is better to save ba airmiles, rather than just airmiles? i have just joined ba but no airmiles just yet. a relative is flying to vegas 1st class courtesy of ba airmiles, and she has said she will give mer her 5000 ordinary airmiles which are due to expire at the end of 2010 - that bit is my 2nd query lol! see below lol!
she is my boyfs stepmum, and we no longer live in the same house, so we we still merge our airmiles accounts, so i can use her 5000 airmiles?
she personally has said she will continue to convert to ba airmiles from now on but i just dont know what to do! ideally i am saving airmiles/cc vouchers for a honeymoon way in the future (not even engaged yet lol!), so i imagine it to take the next fe years to build up enough airmiles for new york, hawaii, bahamas - somewhere along those lines!
any opinions appreciated! sorry fpr v. long post! thanks guys x0 -

I personally prefer Airmiles because you dont pay for any taxes. BA Miles still charge you tax so your "free" flight still works out to be quite expensive. Quite often you will book a flight with BA Miles and it would be cheaper to fly with Ryanair or Easyjet by the time they add on their tax.
A flight to Australia would still cost about £200 in tax.
So for me it is always Airmiles :-)0 -

No, you can only pick up an envelope in store to post the cartridges.
