Assuming it couldn't be T-mobile, it was likely to be Telefonica or KPN, but then KPN would have had to sell other networks ...

    - pity, we could have had some Simyo tariffs like in Belgium

    ... €0.05/min to landlines

Lets hope it doesn't lead to Orange style "simplifications" followings its sale to France Telecom.

Me too. I'd have to pay for my texts then and my off-peak calls then. lol. :rotfl:

I often do wonder how o2 Online are still going if they can offer the tariffs they do and all for just topping-up by £10 (£15 or £30 depending on tariff) especially now they no longer have a premium rate number. Their premium rate number was obviously subsidising their free stuff!

I've also just noticed the story here on The Register's website.

    Does anyone remember one2one?

At the time they were really good value (PAYG was 30p for first 3mins then dropped down to 5p) and if I remember correctly cheaper than the other networks and were actually the first network to offer PAYG tariff like that. The other networks followed afterwards but went for 25p for first 3mins. Since they were taken over by Deutsche Telekom and then renamed T-Mobile, I believe they have become one of the most expensive networks to be on as their PAYG is now 30p for all calls until you spend over £10, etc....

I do think we will see the end to some of the tariffs they (o2) offer when they are offically taken over as it seems to be the norm these days when a company gets taken over. :(

Fingers crossed O2 stays the way it is...There are a lot of very loyal customers to O2 and i'm one of them. Out of the 4 big networks I rank O2 as number 1 for Retention Deals, Customer Service and Network Performance!! I would recommend them to anyone!

Hope the bosses from Telfonica are reading!!! hehe :)
