Does anyone have any suggestion for a newbie old styler?

I'm only 25 and have just moved out of home (boo-hoo!) into new house with boyfriend (yipee, freedom and privacy!!). We have a little bit of land and are going to build a veggie patch for next year, so that's a start.

I cannot work the thing that gets hot and produces food every evening, but am really willing to learn. BF's mum gave me the cooks companion book as a start.

But I would really like a complete old style book to help me, but one that isn't too complicated making me give up.

Any suggestions would be greatly received!

The Old Style Forum Book is not due to come out for a while yet... :)

The basic starting point is to take things easy, just one step at a time; and also to pick the things that it would be easiest for you to do so, as you read along you might think "Oo! I can do that one..." :)

Different people find different things to be easy for them so do make a point of choosing the things you can cope with.

Most of the recipes in our collections are quite straight forward and we've just had a recent thread about creating a cook book for beginners so if you follow the link below you'll be off to a good start :)
