Energy Tariffs for the Disabled/ Benefit Claimants

It seems that getting information on the above is like getting blood out of a stone. The information on the relevant websites is limited, and it is near enough impossible to get further information, such as the actual tariff rates and whether the prices are fixed etc.

I did contact BG to try to do my own research, but after half an hour on the phone could not find out anything further than 'Oh yes, you'll definitely be better off'. However, I like to deal with numbers, and they didn't seem to know them! I would happily keep trying, but my phone bill is big enough already! ;)

Also, different companies have different criteria - some are not necessarily means tested (you can qualify by being in receipt of DLA), but for others your utilities need to be more than 10% of your income?

Is it possible for us to have a nice little article on the various criteria/ options please (complete with the relevant numbers - I like numbers :p )?
Gone ... or have I?
