Free O2 Broadband for existing O2 Broadband/Mobile customers.

Hi all this is my first post so i may not of worded this very well, but i thought i would share what i found today.

If you have O2 broadband and a O2 mobile, you may be aware that if you are in the simplicity contact then you can get you r O2broadband for free.

Today i found out that as i switched to the simlpicity contract O2 credited me for all of the standing monthly charges for the remained of my O2 broadband contract I got a £80 credit towards my next 8 months broadband bills!!

How long is left on her contract, and who is it with?

I have just booted 3 out for the wife, and got 600 mins/1000texts and free 02 to 02 calls for £20pm.You have to use your own phone though, providing it will take 02, (You may have to have it unlocked.) as no phone is supplied.

  • unfortunatly i don't have any related link, i did this over the phone in fact i was just trying to change some of my billing details.

I realised my contract was up for renewal so i switched to the simplicity contract, and as i finished that i was about to be put through to the broadband billing dept to do the same thing when the girl who was helping me pointed out that i was now entitled to free broadband like everyone else on the simplicity contracts.

I didn't really need to push for this but but she then went on to speak to bradband billing team and got them to credit the bills for the rest of my 12 month contract in advance.

So my mobile bill has dropped by £25/month and i got a £80 credit, without any effort at all. If anyone else is in a similar position i'd recommend even getting a simplicity sim for the free broadband, as it's alot cheaper than the normal contract and is monthly rolling so theres no long term comitment besides the broadband.

Choose O2 Mobile Broadband for £20 a month and as a thank you we'll give you the choice of taking either:
    • Free O2 Home Broadband Standard package for your first 12 months; or
    • Save £7.50 (inc. VAT) on O2 Business Broadband Standard package for 12 months.
If you want to upgrade our Standard package, you can take our Premium or Ultimate packages and receive a £7.50 (inc. VAT) per month discount. Customers living outside of our network area may still be able to get our Broadband Access package and receive a £7.50 (inc. VAT) per month discount.

Simply buy your Mobile Broadband and call 0800 954 1407 and quote the reference from the leaflet sent in your pack. An O2 advisor will then talk you through our packages and set up your O2 Home or Business Broadband.

If you're an existing Mobile Broadband customer, you're also entitled to the offer. Existing home or business broadband customers can also benefit from the full offer if you buy Mobile Broadband. You'll be contacted in August to explain how you can take advantage.

    Just posting to say

Today I called O2 retentions to discuss upgrading et, after call I asked to be put through to broadband people as wanting to change to O2. The guy in retentions told me he could deal with it, and then went on to offer broadband for free for 12months as a thank you for staying with O2.

So Im chuffed, with the £7.50 saving Im now considering upgrading to the iphone instead of the tocco which is out of stock at the mo anyway.

    So yeah free broadband!!!
