My phone line will apparently support 3mb. Their base product is free and would give up to 2mb.
However, they say I can only get Broadband connect which is £17 a month.
Is there any way of me getting their base product!?

Sky can only give you the Base, Mid or Max packages if they have unbundled your exchange.
You can check for your exchange on Samknows, look for Sky/Easynet in the LLU column.
The Connect package is a rebranded BT service. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
It means that currently either Sky does not have equipment in your exchange or that there is no capacity on it and won't be for a while.0

Do I have a case to cancel my contract, as they said I would probably soon have access to the full range and it now looks like they have no plans to do whatever they need to do at the exchange?0

If they have plans to LLU you exchange within 6 months then they may offer the connect package for £5/month. Try asking them.
Did you check your phone number prior to signing up?

BTW What is you exchange? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Yeah, I knew it was limited, but they said I should soon have full availability.
I know someone at 02 who can get me it at £7.99 but I have to wait til my contract runs out in Nov.
I've written to Sky asking them to discount it at £5 a month, or lose me in November - see what they say I suppose.
And when checking my number, it says I can get up to 3mb (Base offers 2mb which would be fine)0
