oooh...i like this challenge. Practically I dont think I can actually pay it on a daily basis as dont have access to debt online but I will put a daily amount into a pot and pay it weekly into the bank.

Please add me in and give me a number. First debt I want to tackle is the mortgage arrears which are £2800.

Have put aside £1 today to start me off :)

    Hi All,

I'm new to the forum, but I like this idea a lot! Please add me, and I'll get cracking on my smallest credit card debt of £420.
  • Newbie here, I saw this and suddenly got a bit of inspiration :j

I'm going to use this to pay off my highest interest rate debt which is my credit card, I owe £214. I'll start putting money towards it everyday starting tomorrow as I don't have a penny to my name until then

I would love to join this challenge! The debt I would like to pay off is Barclaycard with a balance of £371.83.

My bank account automatically pays £5 every Friday, so I will start on Saturday after I've paid for my car repairs tomorrow and I know how much I have left. Eeep.

just came onto MSE to look for a challenge to reduce my debt and thought I would see how you were doing Emily - still as motivated as ever, you really are an inspiration to us all.

I lost a baby recently so haven't been on top of things as much as I should have so I think this challenge will give me the motivation I need. I am aiming to pay off initially an Ace cards account.

    count me in

    Hi Welshy

    Welcome to the challenge.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I remember how hard it was for my sister when Joshua died. Take care of yourself.

Right, ISA applied for and as I was in town earlier I have paid £10 off my bank loan to start me off! Wont manage that much each day mind lol.

Thanks for this Emily, hadnt occurred to me to pay a small amount each day, have been blindly staring at the debts left and thinking OMG only big ones left!

    Morning everyone

It's day 3 of the challenge and I have just paid £1 off my Barclaycard. I'm quite skint after paying my rent yesterday so that is all I can afford today - still, a pound is a pound!!

    I'm now down to £374.
