IA - practical stuff is important just now. the emotional stuff is bound to be there, but having a roof over your head, and food in the kids stomachs is a priority...and if doing that helps you "cope" well good on you girl.x x x0

I suppose that's really the point I'm getting at... te last thing I want is for people to think I don't care... or am being cold hearted... if I post up something on here very 'to the point' for example..
I do care. And I feel like crap at the moment emotionally.... and my way of dealing with it is probably very different to how others would... I'm just not the 'sit in the house and cry for 3 weeks' type.
Sorry.. small rant there.. mainly aimed at the trolls who would no doubt use the above as new 'ammo'...
Nobody's business we aren't there. For what it's worth I think both of you have an awful lot to be proud of and you've both conducted yourselves with dignity and have both achieved an awful lot through sheer hard work.0 -

Over the past week I have discovered that my 'coping mechanism' has been to become very practical and almost making myself cut off from the emotion of it. I'm coping better when I'm not sat thinking about it... and rather focusing on something in particular... like for example I'm feeling a bit crap this morning so I decided to check out again on entitled to the benefits situation... and that made me feel better (and realise that I'm proably going to be better off financially.... where's the logic...) once it's all sorted and even though I'm working at argos I'll still get housing and council tax paid as well as income support. So I feel better with that side of things.. but at the same time I feel bad for trying to distance myself emotionally from things..

Morning all. Not sure what my last upate was about and too lazy to go back.. but Ste has now moved out. Bit weird getting used to it but we're both happier and getting on better, so it's reaffirmed that we've made the right choice.
Today I'm getting on with sorting out the bills and things.. joy..Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hi IA,
I just wanted to add re CSA/ICS that when I have had to claim that I have never had the CSA involved as they are rubbish! but you do need to tell them if you are receiving any money from Ste if not that's when they get the CSA involved you do get this amount reduced from your payment. If you tell them that he is paying nursery fee's, clothes or he buy's you food they will still get the CSA to claim money from him. You also need to declare any money you receive from him as maintence to the housing benefit/ council tax people as this is counted as earning's. I hope I have expained this right and that it is of some help to you. Also you need to claim as soon as you can so you don't miss out on rent payment's etc.....DEBT FREE 23/FEB/07 TWO YEAR's!! £2 £1020.00 Banked New total £268+ and counting SAVINGS 3000.00- ISA £30. :j0 -
