Solid wall insulation

When you put the Wicks roll on last time you fitted it did you use wall paper paste mixed thick or ready mixed adhesive as recomended on the roll instructions as i noticed the ready mixed was more expensive.Oh well let's know how you go on with the Wickes product. If I'm not mistaken the Wickes product will be that polystyrene on a roll. I used it some years ago and found it reasonably ok, however, one thing I did notice about it is that you have to be really careful that you don't catch it as it dents easily. But if you put two layers of it on plus a heavy grade lining paper, I guess that might just about eliminate that problem.

I'd have used wallpaper paste for sure. It was many years ago, but I wouldn't have shelled out for ready mixed paste.yorksguy11 wrote: »When you put the Wicks roll on last time you fitted it did you use wall paper paste mixed thick or ready mixed adhesive as recomended on the roll instructions as i noticed the ready mixed was more expensive.

In line with the Kyoto Protocol, the UK Government has committed itself to reducing the UK’s production of CO2 by 20% by 2010 and to end fuel poverty by the year 2015.
Fuel poverty is getting worse. All co2 may have gone down nationally but globally its increase as most the manufacturing gone to China0 -

If its that thin polystyrene wall lining just use a strong mix of wallpaper paste thats what I used for B&Q own brand, you need to let the wall when applied dry for 48 hours before playing wallpaper.yorksguy11 wrote: »When you put the Wicks roll on last time you fitted it did you use wall paper paste mixed thick or ready mixed adhesive as recomended on the roll instructions as i noticed the ready mixed was more expensive.
