  • lots of frozen ice cream bargains this evening - Rachels organic ice cream down from £3.89 to 49p, another frozen dessert called froghurt ( frozen organic yoghurt?) reduced down from £4 to 49p - loads of different ice creams that had been nearly £4 down to 99p ( sorry cant remember all the names)

    Also, cadburys mint snaps down to 50 odd p from £1.18;)
  • I bought the strawberry Frogurt (£1 on Friday) thinking it looked lovely for kids and they tasted it, made a face, it went in the bin :( Our local Xtra has a freezer dedicated to bargains, but there's never anything in it really.
    skint but in luv :kisses2:
  • Can't find the OP, but Jordan's wheatgerm is still reduced to 35p, think it's normally about £1. Dates are for May/June 09. Once again a "hidden" offer - just an ordinary white SEL. With the cereals.
    Also (from memory) noticed a sign in the music section saying that ANY receipt will get you 25% off a chart download at Tesco.com/digital. Not quite sure how this works as I have not had a chance to check it out. If the download prices are reasonable then what is the cheapest thing that Tesco's sell?!

    After reading all the bargains here, I did my shop in Glos, Cattle Market this evening. Reasonably successful.

    Out of stock: £3 Wolf Blass Chardonnay; frozen 37p BBQ stuff; £3 curry meals; 74p Kipling Deep mince pies; 77p McCoys 6-pack crisps.

    Did get: £1 Kellogs cornflakes & Variety packs; 59p Turkey steaks.

    Bargain of the evening: T. value Swiss-style meusli. This is 38p for a 750g pack - but you have to scrabble round on the floor to find it! TBH I use this to feed the birds - it's cheaper than bird seed and the blackbirds love it! However, it's also great as a breakfast cereal. Edit: but remember to soak it first, if feeding to the birds.

    And thanks to earlier posts on this thread, I did my first 'bulk' use of money off coupons. Cashier didn't bat an eyelid and I saved just under £10. Thanks for all the advice you super-saver shoppers.

    It's not wise to feed uncooked oats to birds, it swells in their stomachs and crops and often leads to death, in order to safely feed it to the birds you should ideally cook it, you don't need to use milk water will do and you can also add any surplus fat you have to the mix.

    Sorry, should have said, I soak it overnight first! I also add some cheap oil (no, not engine!) to the mix, to add to the 'calories'. I also add extra Mr T value sultanas at 44p to the mix before soaking. In fact, the birds probably eat better than I do. :rotfl:

    Found on HDUK;

    Bernard Matthews BigGreenTick range ALL now 59p! (was £2.50-£2.99)at Tesco's

    Turkey drummer (6 per pack)/ dippers (12 per pack) / steaks(2 per pack) all 59p

    Loads of these in castle lane bournemouth this morning.

    Also Tesco liquorice allsorts 500g for 38p, these are dated best before 19th Nov so are probably store specific.

    The birds in my garden refuse to eat oats!? Soaked or not - they're just not interested! and definitely not cooked - they are positively disdainful. Its one of the few things they decline.

    Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    From HDUK;

    Tesco, Horwich (Bolton, BL6) has got literally tons & tons of clothing for women, men & kids. The staff told me their Blackpool store has had a refit & all their overstock has gone to Horwich & it's all being reduced by 75% (& more). I bought a pure 100% silk dress for £2.50 and it should have been £35, I also got some funky leather tan summer wedges for £2.31 and they should have been £20. It's only coming onto the shop floor once it's been reduced and apprently it's taking ages for the staff to do this so you need to pop in everyday to see what's new. Be warned, when it's gone it's gone.

    I saw today whilst shopping at tescos, there is an offer for "buy one get one free" on the ambi-pure candels which normal price is £4.99.

    Then I found on the shelf, a double pack of two ambi-pure candels with a sticky label on saying "buy one get one free, free candel enclosed". This was side by side with all the other ambipure single candels. which had been priced on the shelf with a yellow label explaining all the single candels were BOGOF

    I bought two of the double packs where the extra candel was attached/inside the packet and expected to be paying £4.99 per pack and so in all pay £9.98, but nope, I got buy one get one free even on the double pack! This means I paid £4.99 for 4 ambipure candels!! so £1.24-ish a candel! (rrp£4.99 each).

    The double packs I have not seen before, I assume they are a new thing for the moment and that Tescos has not latched onto this just yet, so be quick as when they do I would imagine they will take the offer off the BOGOF/double pack!

    Thanks for this picked up a couple today, the Special One was really pleased - got me in her good books :D
