Bank Accounts for Teens?

Sorry if this is the wrong place but I'm looking for info for my BF's daughter. She's 17 and just started a modern apprenticeship and is getting £80 per week now.

She's a the right age for the new Abbey 8% yoof account but that's for 11-17 yr olds and she's 18 in November so will only be eligible for a few months.

Is there anything out there that is comparable - I know 8% is asking a lot but anything has to be better than a standard account.

Just off to the Abbey tomorrow so my DS(13) can change his cash card account over to this new one as he only has to pay in £50/month to be eligible and he gets more than that in Paper round money - at least he's not adopting my spendthrift ways - LOL:rotfl:

Don't think theres as good as 8% but theres some close ones.

Make sure they fill in an R85 form as I assume they don't pay tax on their earnings? (not earning over their personal allowance)
