it depands how long you have been with them0

my friends as been with them for 15 month but the contract was renewed in june for another 12 month, he said he was not aware of the renewal , in june he asked for an upgrade to up to 8mb
iam i right in thinking by law the cost of cancellation should be in their t and c , which it is not, many thanks0 -
FWIW, looking thru their T&C:
http://www.toucansurf.co.uk/site/terms.aspx
Section H1.1 and H6 are relevent. H6 does cover their ability to charge for remaining period of any fixed 12mth term contract if I have read it correctly for contracts which are terminated early.
Accepting a new modem/router or speed regrade would constitute a renewal of the existing contract for a further fixed 12 months term. This is normal Tiscali practise (Tiscali own Pipex and Toucan).0
