I got some 'boots' opaque tights price marked £5.50.
  • I got camping stools , picnic blanket in the summer, last week I picked up a very thick grey fleece adults jacket ,

i do like these shops , I too go to the Pallasades branch which has a 99p store 2 min walk from the £1 shop, but they are always really busy and people in there just push their way around. Must go early to avoid the bullys!

I bought 2 gorgeous bags (one golden, one bronze) from the Camden branch a couple of days ago, very similar to the ones selling at New Look. Not looking like 99p at all... Good size too.
  • Hey Folks

Just wondering if any of you lovely people are from Northern Ireland? I love reading about all your wonderful bargains but unfortunately we dont have poundland (well I dont think we do)

Anyway, I would be interested in any good pound shops you can recommend in NI, particularly any in the North Down/Ards or Belfast areas/

    Thanks
    Lindsey
Its hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........

  • Yesterday in 99p store I saw:

    some card making bits
    Sally hansen french manicure strips

    Schloer white grape & elderflower
(They had the red grape variety too)
2 boxes of mansize tissues (100 sheets each)
    9 pack of McCoys
3 packs of jaffa cakes cranberry (Very short dates)
2 packs of larger size sensations (Very short dates)

Last weekend in Reading they had boxed "grow your own" sets, each containing a small terracotta pot, some compost and a pack of seeds. They came in "Grow Your Own Peanuts", "Grow Your Own Coffee Plant", "Grow Your Own Peppermint Tea", "Grow Your Own Lemon Tree" and "Grow your Own Orange Tree" varieties.

They were really nicely packaged, and would make fabulous stocking fillers. I bought about a dozen of them, for various secret santas, teacher's presents, and to give to a couple of work colleagues.

my local store this week had Lindt Santas 125g- currently 2 for £4 at Tescos (and usually £2 something each)
as well as Green and Blacks organic chocolate bars 150g Christams editions- Milk choc and spiced fruit or Dark choc and Gingerbread!
I bought only one Santa (for my boyf, don't have any kids to buy for) and 4 choccy bars- then I went to Sainsburys and saw that they are £2.92 each! so I'm hoping to get back down there and buy more- no idea who I'll give them to:rotfl:
Wrapped up nicely 2bars together would make great emergency gifts for unexpected visitors or great grwon up stocking fillers.

    I :heartpuls 99p store!!

I thought the green and blacks spiced milk chocolate was absolutely disgusting.

    And I paid £2.99!
