Saw this a while ago, and was horrified by it (the promotion of skin lightening, that is). At least the Garnier product seems to fade imperfections without lightening the skin, it just looks a bit weird when applied.

Why were you horrified? I don't really see skin lightening as any worse than fake tan, providing it isn't actually harmful like bleach. I don't see anything in the ingredients that would bleach, although I am no expert. I don't see the distinction between this and a whitening moisturizer :S

They just seem to sell the products the wrong way round I think, light products to dark skinned people and dark products to light skinned people.
So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
    Hope sharing saves some pain.

Nothing of any consequence in the branch I visited today. Half the shelves had been cleared / blocked off....I guess the Christmas stock had arrived :xmassign:

Neutrogena Oil Free face wash for acne (the orange liquid in the pump bottle).
The label is mainly in a foreign language - arabic or something.

These retail for over £4 in Boots.

Oh, I didn't notice yours! Just like the poster didn't notice both of ours. Oops.:o
  • Our 99p store had lots of different childrens craft kits from making your own snow globes to activity packs, decorations, fabric santa kits, paper chain strips and so on. And a lovely countdown to Christmas pack with a very solid hanging board/countdown calendar with what looks like a write on/wipe off pen and stickers. Much, much more to choose from than our local poundland and poundworlds have had in stock.

Also, three roll packs of Disney Mickey/Minnie mouse wrap, really lovely designs for the little ones including one bright pink one. Each is 1.5m so not a huge amount of wrapping paper but overall I thought it was a good deal. Some nice 10m roll designs as well.

Tango sweet crackers and long rectangular jelly bean cartons.

And the usual tons of decorations as seen in all good pound shops now...!

Packs of various brand microwave rice in M'head at the moment, pilau egg fried, long grain, basmati. All 250g like the main supermarkets. 69p each and dated 2014. Handy to have in the cupboard. Also packs of large snack a jacks for 99p. Think there is BBQ and another flavour, first salt and vinegar spotted today which I nabbed for OH.

Went in for wheelie bin liners, checked tesco, wilko and Robert days, all £2.50 odd for 10. 99p store was a pack of 8. Not 100% sure how the quality compares but they stop the bins getting so grubby, esp the recycling where you can't put stuff out in normal bin bags.

For nail polish fans I found china glaze shatter in a variety of colours in the new 99p shop in Farnborough. Some individual and some packs of 3 for 99p.

    This is professional quality polish.
