Bought some Nairn's dark chocolate chip oatcakes recently (usually £1.35-£1.60, depending on where you like to shop). Wrapped in 4s, so v.handy for my purse to share with the homeless and hungry when I'm too pushed for time to queue for a sandwich for them.

Also was some Onken in the chiller cabinet, reduced to 49p for a fast sale. Was a bit wary about the orange and fig flavour, but it turned out to be amazing! (Albeit full of sugar :o , but I'm sure kids would like it too).

Spotted Compeed yesterday, small ones. Ideal for smaller blisters. Think these are normally around £4

Forgot to mention the item of real value, a drink / snack pot with capacity of 400ml plus snack space, great for smoothies and cereal / dried fruit.

I had been looking at this following a post by autumngirl, but had decided that anything vaguely practical like this invariably ends in a poundshop environment, and it did! :D

Beautiful miniature roses in Stratford - I find these grow big eventually.

They have these in the Kingston on Thames store as well. I got one and will get some more if there are any left. Very pretty and healthy.

Have decided to use it up on my body now its open. It may have an effect on reducing the appearance of scars so worth a try.

Has it worked at all? I have a large scar from an insect bite which had a severe reaction and now doesn't seem to want to go away again.

Saw some in Morrisons for £1 (usually £2.50), but they were v wishy washy colours. Give me a burst of bright red or pink any day!

Too soon to say, esp as I have been using it on large areas of skin but the effect on my face was ghostly and not recommended. Using Flexitol and Bio Oil have improved the appearance of the skin on my legs and arms considerably though. Your scar will fade with time, the key is to keep the skin hydrated and rubbing in a drop of olive oil would be a good first step.

Its been just over 2 weeks since my first post on this, and incredibly, I have seen a difference! My skin has evened out in appearance seems a lot "glowier" now. Not sure that I can put it down to the cream, but strangely enough, it does seem to suit my oily skin. So maybe I spoke too soon before.

Having said that, I wouldn't wear it during the day or under make-up because of the odd white appearance - so restrict it to night time use only, which is a bit of a waste of the SPF, but hey-ho.
