They are fantastic - the hats and scarves make such a difference!

Do you follow a pattern or just make it up as you go (for the hats I mean - I can manage a scarf ~ just!:rotfl:)

I love the hats and scarves too. How on earth do you make your pom poms so small?

Thanks! The hats I cast on 28 stitches and knit 2, purl 2 until it measures about 25cm then I fold it in half so I've got rectangle & sew the sides up. When I sew the pom poms on, I give them a good tug to pull the corners in abit..hope that sort of makes sense! The scarves I cast on 8 stitches, knit 2 purl 2 until its about 50cm (for a ladies size sock).
The pom poms, the outer circle of card is a bit over an inch in diameter, for the middle circle I draw around a 5p piece! I use a wool needle to wind the wool around so I can fill it as much as possible.

    Hope that helps!

I use 4mm needles. I have used 4 1/2mm as well but the stitches don't look quite so neat but that maybe down to my poor knitting!! I can only do the basics!

Hi sorry about huge image but didn't know any other way to show you this image. I love these lions but how do I make them, I can sew, I just can't work out where to start even. Is the face made from the heel or toe> Do I cut the part for the head off and attach the mane in then add the body?????????? I am really stuck which is so frustrating as usually I am good at working things like this out. I have emailed the person who made them to ask if she sells her patterns but as yet she hasn't decided to sell them. Any suggestions on how I can create the mane effect. What to make the mane with isn't a problem it's HOW to attach it neatly, is it surface or enclosed in a seam?

Looking at the ones on her website, it shows it a bit more clearly.

The face is made from the toe. If you have another look on her flicker album there is a picture on page 3 of a group of them and you can just see that the mane is stitched on the surface, not in the seams. It shows on the red and the peach ones.

    Hope that helps.
