  • I had the same search on my experian account and that was the 7th August and today received the letter chasing the money.
  • Many thanks, Kallenjones. That just confirms the problem. I think I'll try to email them now. I don't know whether they are part of the problem, or whether they are a victim of the scam. Did you just wait for the bill?

I wonder if that came from Facebook

How much information do you make available on facebook? Your full DOB or just month / date?

What about your address / tel. no? Are these on your profile?

How often to you sign up to groups because several other people have?

Groups are often set up with the sole purpose of stealing information from your profile :o

    Hi all,

Checked my credit reports and all seems relatively OK, however I have noticed that my first entry onto the electoral register (only registered 2 years ago) shows my surname spelt differently. (For example: Instead of Jones, it says Hones), the second entry is correct for the year to date.

Will this impact my credit report? Would it also explain the CPD on my Lloyds account? How do I get it corrected if it is a major issue?

    Thanks
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

Having been lumbered with a CPD for two years up until last Monday, and spoken to two branch managers and countless customer relations staff, I think it's fair to say the CPD marker is somewhat arbitrary and no one could possibly venture to explain why it is on your account. They couldn't with me. Then it dropped off all of a sudden. And nothing had changed, it just fell off.

  • Thanks Iztools. I used the default and everyone saw everything, until a relative alerted me to the danger. I've now closed and taken down the account. I had little use for it.
  • I was declined a mortgage last december simply because i have too many addresses on my report.

I have 3 university addresses, 1 address which I am sole owner of and a 5th address where I am currently living - all since 2004. I would like to add a correction notice on my report providing the potential lender an explanation.

Can someone guide me to show me where I can find a template to explain the number of addresses??/

If trial how to cancel it ?

I do not like the idea of using people personal data to make money, therefore I do not want these organisation take a penny from me.

In my opinion, they should pay me as it is my data, it is not their....

I am aware from Martin's guide we could call them. But, the probelm with telephone is that you have no evidence if something goes worng, e.g. they forgot, system error, etc.

I do not want these organisation to make a penny from me.
