i had 2 x £5 giftcards from tesco after taking back their 'value' flapjack that had a foreign body in it - turned out it was some residue from the storage shelves! they sent me £5 giftcard when they first acknowledged the 'distressing situation' (wasn't actually that distressing!!), and another when they wrote to tell me what their analysis showed the object was. the flapjack only cost 79p.
also had £5 cheque from weetabix, when one of the weetabix had a foreign body in - just sent the date code from the box and the actual foriegn body - we ate the rest of them!!! (object turned out to be some almagamation of something from the cooking process).0 -

I'm not sure how much this counts as a freebie via letter, but here goes!
So I had a few problems with my bank getting my address details wrong and sending statements to the wrong address for months;

I wrote a few letters back and forth and eventually they credited my account with £25!
I guess it doesn't really count because it was kind of compensation, but still technically it was a freebie by letter!'I can't deny the British influence on my accent and mannerisms, but I don't know the British national anthem, I didn't weep for Princess Diana and I always cheer when Britain loses at sport. That's how British I am' Constantine-Simms. :T

No, it doesn't cost. A colleague of mine lost his card a couple of years ago and they just send a new one in the post with a new pin a couple of days later. It was a bit of a pain not having a debit card for a week or so, but its better to be safe than sorry!
Incidentally, he found his a few days later underneath his laptop! So make sure you check everywhere!'I can't deny the British influence on my accent and mannerisms, but I don't know the British national anthem, I didn't weep for Princess Diana and I always cheer when Britain loses at sport. white patches on chocolate won`t harm you but doesn`t look nice.
