Freebie Successes by Letter / Email - What have you recieved? (merged)

This is such a great thread, I couldn't sleep at 2am so I read through it for a while, and emailed a few companies. Some have already replied:

McCain- are sending some vouchers in the post (told them how much I love their beer battered chips- I really do, they're gorgeous!)
Tetley- are sending me vouchers after I professed my love for their tea, I'm sure lots of you can relate to fussy tea drinkers!

and I asked Benefit for some samples but they said they didn't have any, but I was welcome to go to my nearest store and try stuff there. Which was fair enough I guess.

Edit: received a flat out no from staedtler (sp?) when I asked for samples of products which would be able to help me on my year abroad haha.

I got 2 £1 vouchers from mars (galexys). Result.
What does sp mean?
I'll email mccain asking for a sample of there beer batterd chips, i've never hered of them before.

Brilliant day for freebies in my mail today. Got my Rimmel nail polish in pink, i got a £5 gift card from tesco because a pack of trifles i bought went off before their use by date, and from dominoes pizza we got a voucher for a free pizza this week.

I think that there should be two lists... one lists of things people have recieved because of complimenting companies and another list of things people have recieved by asking for free samples!

tried andrex couple of times and told 'no'

my sister got £3 coupon for nestle cereals as her daughter loves cheerios and she emailed saying this and that her daughter calls them sweeties!!

when my brother went off to uni last oct I emailed loads of companies for him and he got coupons and freebies from mr kipling, heinz, findus, lucozade, and others cant remember of top of head.

its def worth asking we had wedding favours free inc chocolate, perfumes and mini whiskys.
