FAB idea!! I get most of my freebies through complaints.

    My most recent ones being:

    2 x VIP cinema tickets @ Cineworld
    £20 ASDA vouchers
    Meal and Desert for 2.

Will certainly try the emailing for samples idea as I find the freebie sites often get me knowhere!! Thanks :)

I sent emails to quite a lot of companies - I received samples from the following:-

    Molton Brown (3 sample bottles)
Thierry Mugler (2 perfume, 1 hand cream, 1 body lotion)
    Barefoot Botanicals (20 sample sachets)
    Elemis (4 samples sachets)
We love skin (5 sample sachets)
    This Works (several sample sachets)

These are all fairly recent, certainly within the last month.

Sorry, haven't got time to set up links.

Edit - All I said in my email was - I would like to try your product, would you be able to send me a sample to try before I buy!

Ring up keep your reciept - they will give you a free meal and usually some desert vouchers. I have complained a couple of times - using drive through mainly and they have got my order wrong or its been cold - everytime been satisfied with their response.

Has anyone ever complained to Mcdonalds ? I got a fillet o meal yesterday takeout and had to throw it away has was hard and looked like it had been recooked.

  • They won't all say yes to sending you stuff, especially the big companies that get 1000s of requests a day. You win some you lose some.

    Hi Smorie,

What did the John Frieda tell you on the phone? I am really tempted to call a few companies but I am a bit scared they might be anooyed...

i emailed asking what products they would suggest for my hair, gave a brief description of what my hair was like, she emailed back to ask for my number as shed like to chat, she rang 5mins later, i told her id tried a few dif brands as id started on hrt and it had dried my hair out etc (drug induced menopause due to illness) she said she had similar problems, gave me advice on a book to read, gave me contact details for a doc in usa that she had just been to seminar of, and various website to check out about diet etc, she told me products she thought would work well, i asked her to write them in a email as i didnt have a pen handy. She did and asked for my address so she could send samples, i honestly thought id get a few sachets (what most hair companies give out) but she sent me a full size shampoo, conditioner and frizz ease tub of hair mask (smells fab)

so i suggest you just send a message asking for some advice as you havent used them before and would like to know what they recommend.
