  • janepig this looks good for storing soft toys in - the hooks go over a door so you don't need to put a hook in the ceiling http://www.betterware.co.uk/productdetails.aspx?pid=036139&cid=929&language=en-GB

i saw these in a betterware catalogue at my mum's and i wondered if they'd be any use, they don't look very big though

I second Ikea - you get a lot of storage space for your buck - trofast, etc and looks nice - is sturdy so don't have to worry about falling over. Lego, etc go in the baskets and you can get different sized baskets to fit in depending on if you've got a bit of lego or a lot. I use blanket boxes and wicker baskets with lids for things like teddies as much as possible

It makes it easier for the kids to pack things up as well. You need to work out your requirements before you go so if you have a playmoile zoo it needs the right size basket/drawer and you don't want it getting mixed up with your playmobile castle. You can label the drawers to help them put things in the right place.

Ikea do small boxes too for your poly pockets!

Big things, but the bullet and buy long storage boxes with lids.

I like things that have got lids, doors, etc as cuts down on the cleaning and dusting.

Even books go on in cabinets in my house!

I'd spend a good few hours in ikea looking at the options before you buy (pref on another day) to make sure you're really sorted and not buying the wrong things.
