which wireless router? help please?

    Hi, Virgin Media do a wireless Router for £40 and a Wireless USB adaptor if needed for £20, I don't know if these are any good, i'll be after a wireless rooter soon, I wasn't expecting them to be as cheep as they are!!!

    That's a good deal at PC World... a lot of us IT types tend to dismiss PC World out of hand, but they do sometimes come up with some good prices. The thing to remember is to walk in, pick up the goods and walk out. If you start asking the staff any questions you're asking for trouble...

    Glad I came across this. All very helpful links provided.
    I am wanting to do the same as the OP but only have one laptop. Is it possible for the router to be connected to the cable modem in my living room and not be connected to a computer/laptop, but still transmit the wireless signal for me to pick up on my laptop in another room?
