What kind of Virgin? Cable or ADSL. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

If you're getting broadband now on your desktop, you must already have a broadband modem.
The question that arises is whether you simply want to distribute the existing output of your modem by adding to it a wireless Ethernet router or whether you wish to combine the whole process into a new single device - a wireless modem/router.
If the latter, espresso needs to know the answer to his question.
If the former, it is not a factor that arises.
So, which is it?
(Note that running two separate devices will require running two separate power supplies, probably 24/7 - which is worth taking into account. But you may have other priorities.)
Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:
As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

Depending on what package you are currently on, you might be able to get a free wireless router from Virgin.
Give them a call and try out your luck, but beware the sales pitch!

Yes they are all pretty much the same as they all comply with the international 802.11 wireless standard. Personally I don't like Belkin myself, although some may say that they are OK. Netgear are generally well regarded by most users. Easy to install and set-up, just remember to use WPA encryption to secure your wireless. Any problems and you will get help on here.
