No orange network coverage - and contract
Hi everyone
I am moving to devon in a couple of weeks time (sept) and I have an orange contract which I just renewed (around feb this year i think, 12-18 months cant remember how long at this moment)
The work place I am moving to does not have any orange network coverage for a 3 mile radius. I gave orange a call today as I wanted to ask if they have any plans to sort the coverage problem out, and see about transferring my tele no to o2 which has coverage in this area. But they dont allow you to transfer your number even though I wanted to still keep the contract, my friend was going to have it while I have my new 02 anytime cancel contract.
Any options or do I need to keep my orange contract, and maybe get a o2 payg sim and use my orange one 3 miles away

Dear Richard Peace on to you.
Clause 4.4 of the contract for orange services provides:
4.4 terminating your contract because Orange is no longer able to provide access to the Network
If, for reasons beyond our control, we are no longer able to provide Network Services, we will at our discretion either: 4.4.1 make arrangements for you to be supplied with equivalent Services by another network at no extra cost to you, or 4.4.2 accept written notice from you that you wish to terminate your Contract. In such cases we will refund any pre-paid Charges that have not been used up.
Hope you find this information useful.
Gus

Unfortunately, moving to an area where Orange has no signal is a choice and not a requirement. Therefore this clause is not going to work.
