Can someone explain what this sign is?

It might be a question in an exam and I cannot find it in the highway code! Maybe some one can point me in its direction?

In the booklet it is taken from the question above it is; -

Can you recognise and explain the purpose of these signs? (there are more but I know the rest, but have never come across this one).

I think I saw it on this site somewhere saying it was in Swindon? and was called "the magic roundabout" but I cannot see that being the official name.

Yes I thought I had read that, but is it an official sign and if so were can I find it in an official book?

The sign is simply showing a series of mini roundabouts. But yes I have seen the sign in Hemel Hempstead.

I think you might be worrying a bit too much about it. If the sign is in the ground prior to the Magic Roundabout it is of course an official sign.

Yes but IF it is an official sign and is stuck in the ground, it should be in the highway code! As far as "worrying" is concerned I am not, it is just that it is in an official booklet from Transport Training Technologies,(TTT), and as such might come up as a question in an exam, and would it really be called a "magic roundabout"?
I cannot see that they have put a dummy sign in an official booklet!

Can't see anything in there unless maybe if I buy lots of books, as it seems to be more about everything but signage.

The highway code is not the 'absolute' book on UK roads. It's not a dummy sign, why do you think it might be?

Why do you need to see it in a book, we have given you answers here. What question might come up in an exam?

If you see the following road sign what does it mean?

If it is an official sign, then it should be in a book, if there are only 2 in the country then why would an official training scheme put it as a possible question?

The possible question would probably be as I put in my OP; -
"Can you recognise and explain the purpose of these signs?"

If there is no official explanation and/or purpose then the signs in Swindon and Hemel Hempstead are meaningless and unofficial.

The roadsign shows (and gives notice of) a series of mini roundabouts (popularly known as a "Magic Roundabout"). Normal Rules of roundabouts apply whereby when entering a roundabout you must give way to traffic from the right. However when travelling around more than one of these mini roundabouts when you exit one roundabout and are approaching a second (or third etc) you will again have to give way to traffic from your right.

That would be my answer, might not be perfet but demonstrates knowledge of how to deal with a series of roundabouts.
