I've been with BT mobile on a years contract which has now finished. I requested a PAC code from them and have that. I want to get a sim card for PAYG (anyone know any good offers)and keep my phone - Samsung flip phone-(I can't remember the model, but it's small, silver and got a camera!!).
I've now been reading about unlocking phones -I hadn't considered that I might have to do that-can anyone help me please?

You only need to unlock the phone if you're going to be using aSIM card from another network:A Boots Tart :A0

In my experience contract phones from BT Mobile are not locked. Try putting another sim in it and see if it works.

The 'O2 online' PAYG sim is pretty good, top-up with £10 a month and they give you 300 free texts. You also earn rewards depending on how much you you spend. If you want one of these SIMs then PM me your address, I have a couple of new ones floating around and you can have it for nothing. He huihuinga taangata he pukenga whakaaro – A meeting of people; a wellspring of ideas (Maori proverb)0

Thanks for all your help - I tried a friends sim card in my phone and it worked, so thats OK!
Malestrom, thankyou for your kind offer but I think I will go with Tesco as it seems very reasonable and I looked for ages on the o2 site and couldn't find any tariffs.0
