  • I haven't had the guts to look at the repayment terms on DH loan yet; when the cc are paid off I will face it then... just toooo tired of fighting at the moment. You're right amy, debt free journeys can be very boring at times!!
Personal challenge: Do without as much as possible to pay off £12k by 07/2009!!!:T
Bluejeans Challenge: Spend less - Eat less! Need to lose [STRIKE]4 [/STRIKE] 2.5 stone () then maintain until my concert in Dec!!
Cady's jam jar challenge.. how much will be in the pot?!

Budget: a mathematical confirmation of your suspicions.
  • I have left our loan out of the equation for now too bargain, Im lucky that my mortgage is quite low so I just combine the two and think of it as equivalent to most peoples mortgage payment.
When we have paid off all the other debt and Oh is no longer paying csa in 2 yrs we can really look at it then and do something about it.
The debt free journey is boring, but coming on here helps, and in a funny way now the country is having a credit crunch it is becoming easier as everyone is watching the pennies, I used to feel embarassed that I wasnt spending like my colleagues but they are struggling now with high mortgages and interest rates so its easier to admit to being careful if that makes sense.
  • Makes total sense supershal (that's my abbreviation of your username sorreee!!:D) I feel the same way. No-one minds us pinching the pennies or opting for a free or cheaper night out, because we blame the credit crunch and prices going up etc. 100% with you on that one.

hello, i thought id add to my diary hehe... so im feeling pretty fed up today of debt busting and not getting anywhere fast grrrr...i may feel better when my new account is up and running properly we get a 0% overdraft that matches the overdraft we have now so around 3000 that could balance transfer a credit card and we could close it ....... thats one thing to think about.... should get my payments from bank charges next week woo hoo..... that will be a nice little booster :D......just need something to keep me going at times because well its gets so boring and easy to spend when we shouldnt.. oh made a good chunk on his phone so we will be paying a friend in full 170.... and putting the rest on a card... but one debt cleared..... part of me wants to takle the smaller numbers just so i can tick them off the oh wants to not pay as much intrest i dont know...... its all swishing round in my head lol !! ive got my snowballer all i want is a fast forward 6 months so i can see some progress hehe nevermind then :P tatty bye for now x

  • Just remember it took a long time to accumulate the debt so it takes time to pay it off.
Keep playing with the snowballer it inspires you, next week when you get your bank charges back your debt free date will be even closer and this will keep happening until your that close you trip over your debt free date.
