Get off your high horse, do you think i agree with rape? Get real...
By the way isn't it legal for a man to rape his wife?
No, IIRC, the law changed some years back.

You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

Broderick, you are the twisted one if you think discussing rape is appropriate on a financial web site, and that using a potential rape victim as an analogy for another board user you happen to dislike is a good idea.

No, I don't think you agree with rape or at least I really hope not. I do, however, think your comment was crass, insensitive and completely innapropriate.

The analogy you seemed to be drawing was that the person you disagreed with said things to get a reaction then 'cried attack' when people respond. Therefore the analogy only works if you think that a drunk person who goes homes with someone doesn't then have the right to refuse consent to sex and therefore shouldn't 'cry rape' afterwards.

Either you agree with that sentiment, in which case I stand by the assertion that you have a twisted mind, or maybe you should take some time to learn how analogies work and think about what you are writing before posting.

Oh, and I believe, quite rightly, that it is now illegal for men to rape their wives now. Although I'm not sure what the point of that comment was.

Can i just say for the record i really enjoyed reading that post so i am not going to respond with one of my usual really smart posts that makes you look stupid, instead i am going to agree with what you have said and apologise to anybody who is offended with the rape analogy that i used, it is just that carolt really does bring out the worst in me....
  • Apology accepted.

Oh, and while I didn't like the analogy, I usually agree with what you are saying, particularly regarding some of the more off the wall posters!

No, you have an opinion like everyone else on this board. Nothing to do with optimism. FTBers want house prices to fall, and fall alot. Do you think then that they are pessimists, or not optimistic? If so, why?

I was actually referring to the people who post every bit of economic bad news onto this forum and seem to revel in it. You know, the ones who talk of death camps, the end of western civilisation, 1930's style depression, etc.

I can see how a housing crash would make FTB optimistic. Hell, it's making me optimistic because the next rung up on the ladder gets closer every day.

How did you read into my statement where I said that I was an optimist, that I thought FTBers were the pessimists?

You yourself seemed to have taken a break from posting on people rather than issues; seems a shame to start up again.

Don't take DD as an example; not the best role model.

Arguing with someone else carol. Do you not think that perhaps it's you who can't get on with people?

I see you're also having an argument with someone on another thread.

    No.

Link as proof? None. Quelle surprise!
