Good luck, you should be fine.

Be sure to make all connections before plugging it in the mains.;)

im mostly interested in Channel 5, 4+1, e4, but you get some other channels that are a real bonus. I will make sure all the cables are connected before pluggin in. Thanks very much for the tips. Im useless when it comes to technology.

i got the box yesterday but it doesnt have a cable for the sky port in the wall. Where would i be able to buy one from and what would it be called? Also it doesnt have a remote control or a card so might i just be better off getting the set from Argos? Gosh this is a great idea but so confusing for someone that doesnt really understand much about technlogy.

  • You should be able to get a cable and remote from places like Currys, Comet, Argos, B&Q and Ebay.

I think you'll have to phone Sky to get a card though.

You just need to get a remote control from eBay etc., a satellite lead with " f " connectors at each end and a Sky Card from eBay, if you are lucky.

Your flat ought to have a communal digital aerial and you should get Channel five via digital TV. Most cahnnels are the same but there are a few channels available on freesat that are not available on freetoview and vice versa a few on digital (e.g. Dave) not available on freesat.
