Who knows in this crazy country... it wouldn't surprise me if houses did indeed dramatically recover, leaving many round here with a heap of egg on their faces. Stranger things have happened.
They could I guess... but would you put money on it ?? I certainly wouldn't & doubt any of the people suggesting as much would either ...

Yes, it may happen due to various reasons nobody knows. But as things stand at the moment nobody would want to put their hard earned deposit because they dont know what will happen. They may lose their deposit and may not recover for years.

To be honest not a lot of people have lowered their prices by me, but a few developments round the area have stopped.

I personally dont think its the house prices that have slowed the market down, i think its the way the banks are not lending without big deposits, this just secures the bank from loosing money as obviously over the last few years thay have learnt the hard way.

By me theres no first time buyers and all the young around the area are renting, until they can get a mortgage without a large deposit, when or if that time comes back we will have to see.

As i said earlier the populations getting bigger about 350,000 people a year so it doesnt take a rocket scientist to work out that if no houses are built in the next 3 years there is going to be a shortage, and this should drive the prices up.

    confused

do all these new babies each buy a house ?
demand is not wanting something, its having the money and inclination to PAY for it
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

It is amazing how thick the people Daily Express readers are. It is trash news for idiots. These people shouldn't be allowed to buy a house, they might start breeding. I hope that doesn't sound too harsh? No? Good.

In fact I hope houses rocket to the sky if it means these stupid waste of space morons cannot find somewhere to raise their even more stupid feral children.

Er. On the other hand.. um.. I hope prices fall to a sensible level so my children (intelligent and well bred) can afford to buy a house one day.

Brodders old chap. I would be highly interested to know what you base your thinking around that house prices will quickly recover.
