stuck a 59p cake board from asda on to it using foam pads and hey presto. Did a good job as a cake turntable.

I picked up a small packet of soap powder tablets today for just 49p, we don't get paid until Friday and I couldn't afford a full size pack from Tesco's so thought I would mooch in H&B to see if there was anything cheaper there. There was some branded ones for about £1.99, but I got a 12-pack of "Easy Inspirations" non bio tablets for 49p. It also says on the pack only one tablet needed per wash ( I only ever use one tablet anyway but most brands "recommend" 2 tablets!)
I don't know how great the quality will be but I'm sure they'll tide us over until payday!!

I have been using them for a while and are great for the price. I also use the 49p dishwasher tablets. and when Im feeling extra tight I only use a half a tablet. Still gives a perfectly good wash. For 49p a box! some dishwashing tabs are £10+, you wonder how they can charge that much
    Happy days

Are they good then? If I'm impressed enough with them I'll be buying them in future as it would work out at £1.96 for 48 tablets, which I currently pay £3.57 for in Tesco's!!!
  • will def be going back to get some of the dishwasher tabs, we usually pay £10 for a bag when it half price in asda, but at that price in HB will be getting them!

see i HATE the thai one, though i'm veggie and it tastes of (nasty chicken-flavouring-rather-than-real) chicken. the only one i like is the sweet and sour one, with lots of my own sweet chilli sauce added... which kinda defeats the point ;)

    Today in Coventry HB:

    • Vitamin Water Lemon and Lime Flavour - 19p
    • D&G Grape Juice (can) - 19p
  • In Kidsgrove yesterday they had loads of nice paper tablecloths.
Some were in huge rolls, and there were some folded ones too, all for 39p each. They had plain yellow, green with easter eggs, a few different floral designs, and a more grown up turquoise and brown pattern. There were also packs of serviettes (not matching sadly) for the same price, some nice cream ones with butterflies, might be good for a wedding.
